The foundation’s initial project is based upon a simple idea. First, a single subsistence village is empowered by us to start lifting itself out of food insecurity. Then, after six months, that village starts the job of uplifting two of its neighbouring villages. Then six months after that, each of those two villages start uplifting each of their neighbours. The result is a network that grows from a single ‘sapling’ village, just like a tree, constantly sprouting new pairs of branches as it grows. We’ll then plant new sapling villages that very quickly spread our Village Transformer Network all across the globe.
